LEAP, Leaders Educated and Prepared, is a non-profit organization founded in Darien, CT in 2009. We are funded by donations, grants and foundations who support our belief that problems of the world can be better resolved if we invest in and empower each individual to build diverse local and global partnerships committed to positively impacting each of their communities.

LEAP is seeking film and visual media interns to help with promotion of the LEAP model.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Assemble all raw footage into short films to be used for website and marketing purposes
• Create needed footage to track the changes in perspectives in LEAP participants
• Set up of live feed connections with LEAP partners
Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must
• Experience with Final Cut Pro required
Internship Dates:
Internship will begin immediately and can be for one semester or longer. This can be a full or part time position depending on availability. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. All internships are unpaid.

LEAP is seeking marketing interns to help with promotion of the LEAP model.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Researching advertising targets
• Preparing proposals and presentations
• Execution of marketing related materials like brochures, power-points, videos, view books and curriculum packaging
Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must

LEAP is seeking organizing and communications interns to help with promotion and outreach.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Digitalization of records
• Generate and update contact lists on a regular basis
• Press releases, newsletter articles, action letters
• Create and revise fact sheets to track measurable results and format for fund-raising
Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in communications, or a related degree
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must

LEAP is seeking research and writing interns to help with grant writing and outreach.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Research federal and private nonprofit grants and assist in preparation of grant proposals
• Research to identify potential local and global partners
• Research methods used by other organizations to measure impact on the individuals involved with LEAP
Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• Background in Journalism or English preferred, but not required
• Grant writing experience a plus
• Strong ability to summarize and present research required
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must

Specific responsibilities will include:
• Implement web-based marketing and PR activities such as blogging, tagging, networking, viral marketing, search engine marketing, and other forms of communication
• Monitoring of blogs and websites
• Identify possible nonprofit partnerships
Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must
