Leaders Educated as Philanthropists (LEAP) is a cross-cultural education program that builds local and global partnerships among disparate groups to develop philanthropic leaders.
Through customized curriculums focused on building bridges and fostering philanthropy, LEAP creates more informed citizens, impassioned visionaries and committed humanitarians while promoting common ground, compassion and shared humanity.
Connect Locally and Globally
LEAP educators work with you to establish your local partnership. In leadership-building workshops, LEAP then helps you and your local partner:
• Break down the barriers that often divide
communities
• Find commonality, appreciate differences
• Build a collaborative spirit of equality
• Develop the skills to assess and address
real crises in the world.
With a local partnership established, LEAP helps you select a global partner. The three groups then evaluate the global partner’s needs and implement a sustainable outreach program focused on anything from the environment, AIDS education, domestic violence, and literacy, to the advancement of the arts, sports and micro-enterprise.
Who Participates in LEAP?
LEAP can be designed for schools, clubs, religious organizations, civic groups, and professionals of all kinds. Whatever your gift, LEAP helps you find a way to share it both locally and globally as you learn from and empower others.

LEAP to LEAD offers ongoing individual coaching and counseling, or short term 8-12 week group leadership programs, designed to help participants realize their potential as a leader and a philanthropist.
Each participant is asked to collaborate within and outside our
program to create a structure of integrity, accountability and
action as he strives towards empowerment. While the two programs
stand alone, upon completion of a LEAP to LEAD class, a participant
may join the 4th stage of the LEAP local global education program to
connect with other local and global leaders as they create
sustainable change in the world.
Cross-Over Adventures to Kenya
Cross Cultural Travel and leadership development
programs that re-claim the meaning of philanthropy as:
• A Love for humanity that breeds equality, loyalty
and familiarity.
• A Commitment to giving based not on money, but on the spiritual dividend of an investment in relationships that serve the common good.
Abundant beauty and heartbreaking poverty are present everywhere, often just a stone’s throw away from each other. Threshold’s Cross-Over Adventures explore these contrasts and how to respond to them in 10-day service-oriented trips that combine hands-on work in Kibera, one of the world’s largest slums, with a safari to one of Kenya’s most breathtaking game parks.

good of others. We consult with leaders and educators in schools,
clubs, civic groups, religious organizations and
businesses of all kinds.
"If you don't know the kind of person I am
and I don't know the kind of person you are
a pattern
that others made may prevail in
the world and following the wrong god home
we may miss our star."
